Bat For Lashes nu e o trupa, ci un pseudonim. Pe Bat for Lashes o cheama de fapt Natasha Khan. Bat For Lashes a implinit 30 de ani iar muzica ei a fost categorisita deopotriva in indie, synthpop si alternative.
Al doilea ei album, Two Suns, cel despre care vorbim aici, exploreaza dualitati. Two lovers, two planets, two sides of a personality. Two suns is bringing reflection about “the philosophy of the self and duality, examining the need for both chaos and balance, for both love and pain, in addition to touching on metaphysical ideas concerning the connections between all existence”. Album concept, carevasazica.
Two Suns e de simtit in capul pieptului. Din cauza ca e foarte orinetat catre “self” si pentru ca armoniile si tonul vocii iti intra direct in rasuflare. Muzica Natashei iti transmite stari, ea te face sa simti ce canta. Poti sa nu stii engleza, sa nu-i intelegi versurile, si tot iti dai seama despre ce e vorba. Poti sa-ti dai seama cand plange, cand are speranta sau dorinta.
In lista mea de albume preferate din 2009 Two Suns este in primele 5.
